telc, Goethe-Zertifikat and ÖSD, from A1 to C2. The film shows the German interface. Captions are in German.
The exam is rarely lost on German. It is lost on the format: a missed Leitpunkt, the time gone before the last task. Only practice helps against that.
How a practice exam works here

Find the place in the text
For every wrong answer, the sentence that decides it. Marked, not explained away.
Answered wrong? Here is why.
After each module you see, for every wrong answer, the explanation and the sentence in the text it hangs on. The explanation was written with the task and released by an editor, not generated per attempt.

Only two modules are estimated
- Lesen and Hören
- Checked against the answer key. The same answers always give the same score. No model involved.
- Schreiben and Sprechen
- Marked against the board's criteria, with a stated margin. We claim no accuracy we have not measured.

telc Deutsch
telc exams are passed or failed as a whole. The reading part also carries the Sprachbausteine, a pure grammar and vocabulary section the other boards do not have.
Goethe-Zertifikat
In the Goethe-Zertifikat every module counts on its own. Pass three and fail one, and you repeat only that one. That makes the exam dearer per module, and much cheaper when something goes wrong.
ÖSD Zertifikat
The ÖSD certificate comes from Austria and is recognised across the German-speaking world. Its tasks draw more often on everyday situations in Austria.
